About Us

Welcome to Long Island Latin Movement – your home for Salsa & Bachata and connection!

At Long Island Latin Movement, we’re more than just a dance studio—we’re a place where energy, movement, and culture come together to inspire joy and confidence through Salsa & Bachata.

Our story started with a simple vision: to build a space where people of all walks of life could experience the thrill and warmth of Latin dance. Whether you're stepping into the studio for the very first time or you've been dancing for years, you're part of our family from the moment you arrive.

Our team of instructors brings not only professional training and dance-floor experience, but a deep love for teaching. They're here to support, motivate, and guide you at every step—making each class fun, engaging, and tailored to your pace.

From foundational steps to more advanced choreography, our class offerings suit all levels. But learning with us isn’t just about technique—it’s about embracing the music, the culture, and the friendships that flourish through dance.

We also host vibrant socials, practice parties, and special events where you can let loose, show off your new skills, and connect with the wider dance community. These moments go beyond the studio—they’re where the magic of Salsa & Bachata truly comes alive.

Come dance with us at Long Island Latin Movement and feel the rhythm, the energy, and the joy that Latin dance brings. Your journey starts here—and we can't wait to share it with you.

Our Instructors

Patty Zak

I’m originally from Poland, and salsa has been a big part of my life for many years. I’ve trained and danced socially across Europe and the U.S., and I love helping students build confidence, strong technique, and natural movement on the dance floor. My classes are all about connection, fun, and growing together—whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your style.

TESTIMONIALS

Such a great studio! The space is huge, with plenty of room to move, and the head instructor Patty, is fantastic. She takes the time to explain technique in a relatable way, and breaks things down making it all easy to follow.

I’ve taken both Salsa and Bachata classes with Patty and Ayse, and I can’t recommend them enough! Both women are amazing instructors who truly care about their students’ progress. They break down every step of the footwork in a way that makes it easy to follow, even if you’re completely new to the dance floor.
